What Sets Us Apart❓
Problem:
Over the years, Somalia has seen an influx of external NGOs and international agencies. While well-intentioned, many of these actors struggle with sustainability, cultural disconnects, and short-term programming that overlooks local voices and indigenous solutions. These interventions often bypass community ownership, leading to limited long-term impact and dependency on foreign aid.
Our Solution:
CPDR is distinctly Somali-owned, Somali-run, and Somali-prioritized. We harness the lived experiences, cultural wisdom, and aspirations of our people to co-design programs that fit and last. By embedding participatory research and community leadership at every stage—from peace dialogues to economic empowerment—we ensure real change that reflects the needs, voices, and values of those we serve. We don’t just intervene—we cultivate resilience.
